Seattle Kraken: Lindgren's Stellar Shutout Performance
On Sunday night, Charlie Lindgren delivered an impressive 35-save performance, leading the Washington Capitals to a 1-0 win against the New York Rangers. This marked Lindgren's 10th career shutout, with his second against the Rangers, enhancing his record to 4-1-0 against them. His standout moment came early in the second period during a critical 2-on-1 situation, where he executed a remarkable glove save on Mika Zibanejad's shot. The game's sole goal was scored by Anthony Beauvillier with just over six minutes left in the period, assisted by Alex Ovechkin. This victory marked the Capitals' second consecutive win and their fourth straight over the Rangers. Notably, Lindgren became only the fourth goalie in Capitals history to achieve a road shutout against the Rangers, joining the ranks of Darcy Kuemper, Philipp Grubauer, and Rick Tabaracci. Meanwhile, the Rangers, coming off two significant victories, faced their second consecutive home shutout.
